i’m Prabhat, a 22 year old undergrad living in Mumbai, trying to survive a Bachelor’s in Computer Science while maintaining my sanity (minimal success 🙏).

why the blog?#
i’ve started this blog because i wanted to put myself out there.
sure, i could’ve used mainstream publishing platforms. but i wanted to have something of my own, a place i could express both the tech and the person.
this blog is built with HUGO + Blowfish and hosted on Github pages (until i can afford a VPS).
the tech#
my interests lean heavily into devops and cybersecurity, but asking me to pick a niche is a losing battle.
one day i’m convinced i want to automate infrastructure. the next, i’m diving into OT security, trying to break into a pentesting role, or exploring OSINT methodologies.
currently, my specialization is “yes”.
i enjoy the mental gymnastics of it all, whether it’s building systems, breaking them, or just finding out where a random photo was taken on the internet.
i advocate for open source and contribute whenever i can. i try to live by the “see a bug, fix a bug” lifestyle (or at least, “open an issue and pray” 😖).
while i won’t claim to be an expert just yet, i prioritize the process of learning, bettering myself, and the spontaneous urge to pick up new skills.
the person#
this blog isn’t just about code, it’s about me as a person. and i’m the kind of person who loves connecting with people.
as for my interests, i’ve recently picked up reading. and while my newfound love for fiction is borderline concerning, at least it keeps me off the screen for a few hours a day.
there’s also ghazals, keeping my neighbors on their toes with the sometimes good, mostly bad guitar noodling, and trying to learn how to cook (think kitchen tandoori). maybe chaos engineering (engineering chaos?) is my niche after all.
complemented by my OSINT/GEOINT itch, i also closely follow (read: larp) intelligence, geopolitics and national security.
i tend to not have very strong political opinions, so fight me 🤪. in a world of slop and psyop, dharma is my only anchor.
i’m big on community. i’m constantly looking for someone wiser to tell me what i’m doing wrong, and i’m always happy to pass the “knowledge” (read: my mistakes) down to anyone who asks.
